Proposal Administrator I - R-000053

The Proposal Administrator I is responsible for research proposal preparation and submission; providing support to researchers in the preparation and submission of research proposals which includes determining the sponsor s requirements and preparation of budgets and forms according to the guidelines established by The Texas A&M University System, Federal Cost Accounting Standards and sponsor guidelines.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proofreading skills and experience using word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience using Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of scientific terminology, experience in preparing manuscripts or contract and grant budgets.
  • Personal or professional experience in working with people of diverse backgrounds.
