Key Responsibilities:
*Undergraduates are limited to observation-based responsibilities and cannot enter information into a patient's record due to state compliance standards. * 

- Spend time observing group discussions or other interactions between students and specialists. This involves attentively watching and listening to gain insight into techniques utilized with student responses.

- Assist specialists with tasks related to preparing for meetings/sessions, such as organizing materials, setting up the room, and ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for students.

- May be tasked with conducting literature reviews on relevant topics in psychology and adolescent behavioral health.

- Participate in team meetings and consultations. During these meetings, interns can contribute observations, ask questions, and engage in discussions about client progress, treatment planning, and therapeutic strategies.

 Requirements:

1. Currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution.
2. Registered and/or currently taking a practicum and/or internship course.
3. Commit to the duration of the internship program and fulfill the required hours as outlined by the affiliation agreement between the organization and university.


Education, Knowledge, & Skill Qualifications:


Educational Background:

- Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Psychology, social work, sociology, or a related field.

Knowledge

- Basic understanding of psychological principles, counseling theories, and therapeutic techniques, gained through coursework or relevant experience.

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for tasks such as email communication and data entry (if applicable).

Communication Skills:

- Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.

Adaptability and Initiative:

- Flexibility and adaptability to learn from observation-based roles and contribute effectively to the clinical team.

Ethical Considerations & Professionalism:

- Ethical awareness and respect for confidentiality, adhering to professional standards and boundaries in interactions with patients and colleagues.

- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling internship responsibilities and meeting deadlines.

Passion for Field:

- Strong interest in pursuing a career in clinical psychology, counseling, or mental health services.
