Candidates should have experience with the development and maintenance or program or unit policies and procedures. The required education and experience include an earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field, and five years of full time or equivalent nursing experience within the last 5 years preferably in the academic environment. As a tenure track line, candidates must have a scholarship trajectory.



Required License/Registration/Certification

Active, unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse; may have certification as anadvanced practice registered nurse, as appropriate.



Job Summary

The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Nursing invites applications for this full-time, 12- month Special Title Series, tenure-eligible faculty with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This position will also serve as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs. This position is based in Lexington, KY, onsite, and the anticipated start date for the position is March 1, 2025, with consideration of an earlier start date, and a start date no later than July 1, 2025.

This position will assist in the Undergraduate program instruction and involves developing and implementing nursing workforce initiative and expansion as well as innovation in faculty development. Responsibilities include classroom and possible online instruction, supervision, and mentoring of students in undergraduate courses and enrichment programs. Additionally, this is an Assistant Dean position that will help manage and provide leadership for the Undergraduate BSN program in all three tracks. This Assistant Dean position will have oversight in student success initiatives for the BSN Undergraduate program. Collaboration with UK Healthcare and other community clinical providers, administrators and staff are required.
