The primary focus of the Quality Control Associate role to support product lot release and in-process testing within a cGMP environment. Additionally, this role may provide limited technical support and troubleshooting for the support of in-process, final drug product and stability testing.

Shift Available:
  • Wednesday - Saturday, Onsite 1:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform or support cGMP lot release, in-process, and stability testing using various software packages.
  • Ensure timely completion of testing and tasks as assigned.
  • Perform assay, form review and data verification.
  • Identify and facilitate continuous improvements. Participate in technical transfer and validation protocols for QC assays.
  • Maintain instrumentation and equipment preventative maintenance and supporting documentation in a cGMP compliant manner.
  • Onboard new materials and reagents.
  • Support document revision, project, CAPA and deviation/ investigation related tasks and/ or continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Perform routine testing of in-process, final product and stability samples.
  • May review GMP documentation and perform data verification.
  • Support document revision, project, CAPA and deviation/ investigation related tasks and/ or continuous improvement efforts.
  • May train analysts on general job duties.
  • Ability to accurately and completely understand and follow procedures.
  • Apply scientific principles to analytical testing and the proper use of laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management regarding task completion, roadblocks, and needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in science. Associates degree with equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant analytical testing or QC experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with basic laboratory techniques and basic laboratory safety practices.
  • Prior experience in cell and molecular biology techniques (e.g., cell based assays, flow cytometry, qPCR, aseptic technique) is preferred.
  • Must have ability to work assigned shift (Day, Night, Weekends, and/or holidays).
Working Conditions:
  • May work in areas that may have strong magnets.
  • May work in areas with exposure to vapor phase liquid nitrogen.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; bend; stretch; use hands and fingers, with various manipulations; reach with hands and arms; and effectively communicate with others in the workplace, including the ability to make and promptly respond to audible cues and warnings.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily, such as but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hairnets, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • May be required to work in and around laboratories and controlled, enclosed, restricted areas, including clean rooms.
  • May be required to carry and/or lift up to 10 pounds several times a day.
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $65,000 to $82,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
