The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of BCCP Coordinator (Breast and Cervical Cancer Program) within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Nursing Division.

Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision, provides technical assistance and training within a public health nursing care specialty. Manages the planning and implementation of a specialty nursing program. Evaluates programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.

  • Assesses needs of target population.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality breast and cervical cancer programming to address the healthcare and health education needs of clients and the community.
  • Analyze program's financial information (budget management? expenditures? and revenues) making sure that program's financial operations do not exceed budget limits
  • Monitors, assesses and evaluates program to determine compliance with state and/or federal guidelines and progress in meeting established goals.
  • Compiles reports of findings and submits in appropriate format.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements educational and training programs within the nursing specialty.
  • Manages long- and short-term objectives and plans for the program.
  • Coordinates program with other state or county health care providers/organizations to promote optimal implementation of program services.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing, public health or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Bachelor's degree nursing from an accredited college or university AND Five years of PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified OR Two years of experience at the lower level PH Nursing Prog Consultant 1 (HCP210) or position equivalent AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certified.
