Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at time of hire



Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting, standing, walking, with some pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs.



Shift

Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs/wk); other hours as needed



Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide direct clinical counseling to help children and families who are seeking care for alleged and/or substantiated physical, mental and/or sexual abuse.

This individual will work closely with the providers in the Forensic Medicine Pediatrics Clinic to provide patients and families with a comprehensive mental health evaluation and treatment plan. Job duties also include assisting with diagnosing mental health disabilities and providing support to patients through counseling.

This position will include some travel to outreach clinics in Frankfort, KY, offering on-site mental health services.

Previous work experience provinding clinical mental health assessments, counseling, case management and/or social services.
