We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. In this lead role, you will provide specialized, evidence-based psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational treatments while supporting and guiding colleagues. You will play a critical role in developing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and contributing to a collaborative care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Services:
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational treatments to individuals and groups.
- Conduct assessments to identify precipitating factors and develop behavioral support plans tailored to client needs.
- Administer tests and questionnaires to evaluate treatment needs and monitor progress.
- Perform suicide risk assessments and provide recommendations to the Interdisciplinary Treatment (IDT) team.
- Develop, review, and implement individualized treatment care plans and behavioral support plans.
- Consult with IDT teams to create and track evidence-based interventions for patient care.
- Respond to emergent patient needs and provide coverage for psychology peers as needed.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Behavioral Health Specialist 1 and 2 team members, trainees, and volunteers.
- Orient new employees, coordinate schedules, assign tasks, and assess performance in collaboration with supervisors.
- Lead in-service training sessions and offer expertise to colleagues and program staff.
- Guide work procedures, establish performance standards, and provide feedback to supervisors.
Program Development and Collaboration:
- Participate in the creation and evaluation of psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic programs for individual and group therapy.
- Attend unit rounds, inter-shift meetings, and other forums to ensure effective communication and high-quality treatment services.
- Generate accurate documentation of all treatment activities in line with organizational guidelines.
- Develop and implement positive reinforcement plans, patient engagement strategies, and behavioral support initiatives.
Professional Development:
- Participate in regular clinical and administrative supervision with assigned supervisors.
- Engage in continuing education to maintain professional competence and Oregon state licensure and stay current with advancements in the field.
Work Environment:
- On-site presence is required for patient interactions, clinical supervision, training, and responding to emergent needs.
- Access to specialized materials and equipment, such as assessment and treatment manuals, is provided on-site.
- Work hours are typically between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with flexibility based on clinical requirements. Following successful completion of a six-month trial service period, up to 20% of non-direct clinical work may be completed remotely with an approved telecommuting contract

What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements
Must possess a clinician license (i.e., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the State of OregonAND three years of professional experience related to behavioral and mental health treatment, specifically co-occurring disorders.
Requested Skills
