This 1st shift DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN position will be located in our Research and Development Facility. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist with processes in a rapid tooling lab, as well as in the manufacturing of prototype ceramic cores and wax patterns
- Process prototype parts as required to meet customer requirements
- Operate equipment in a rapid prototyping tooling environment, both subtractive (CNC) and additive (3D printing) in nature.
- Responsible for standardizing/documenting procedures
- Work closely with engineering and other technicians, with a common goal of producing quick turn core, pattern and casting solutions in support of both internal and external development projects.
- Communicate with numerous groups and juggle priorities in fast paced environment.
- Performs and documents a variety of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities, as required.
- Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in manufacturing industrial or mechanical technology from an accredited institution plus 3 years of machining and fabrication of fixtures, tooling, and custom components; OR high school/GED with 10+ years of experience of machining and fabrication of fixtures, tooling, and custom components.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Able to work in a team environment
- Self-starter, needing little supervision
- Strong work ethic
- Injection molding experience
- Problem solving abilities
- Comfortable using various basic windows based software, such as excel and word.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong math/mechanical aptitude
