The hiring range for this role is:  

172,036.00 - 241,270.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range andthis hiringrange may also be modified in the future. A candidate’s position within the hiring range may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for annual bonusincentivepay.

This role is accountable for strengthening and positioning the Blue Cross Blue Shield brand as one the nation’s most trusted and influential brands in health care. This position directs and oversees Blue Brand’s national positioning and related brand and marketing efforts to support local BCBS Plans across key audiences, including employer customers and members. The role also serves as a peer to and a convener of the Chief Marketing, Brand and Customer Experience Executives across the BCBS System and with related outside organizations to facilitate an aligned go-to-market strategy that amplifies the BCBS brand across the nation.

PrimaryJobFunctions

  • Leads the development of the BCBS System Brand and Experiencestrategies, including system opportunities, potential partnerships/sponsorshipstoelevatetheBrandnationally,andtheongoingidentification of best practices
  • Leads the development of marketing strategies, plans and tactics to support Plans across a broad array of lines of business and BCBSA focus areas.
  • Oversees partnerships with related outside parties, manages agencies, andpartners with communications team in campaign and media development
  • Partners with Brand Legal to oversee the development and maintenance of brand guidelines and regulations that are consistent with the brand’s voice andidentity,andappropriatelyevolvewithmarketneeds
  • Convenes, builds credibility with, and facilitates discussion and alignment across the Chief Marketing Executives, the Chief Customer Experience Officers,andtheCEOsthatparticipateontheBCBSABrand Committee

Education

Required: Bachelors degree

Preferred: Masters degree

Experience

Required: 10 years experience

Knowledge,Skills, andAbilities

  • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills with the capabilities to negotiate, persuade, and make effective presentations to varying audiences internal and external to BCBSA.
  • Ability to provide expertise and credibility amongst participating and non-participating Blue Plans in System-related marketing efforts.
  • A high level of confidence, integrity, can-do attitude, and critical thinking skills are required, as well as a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing key leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and fostering key relationships. Must be able to effectively represent BCBS in various forums and with various audiences.
  • The ability to establish credibility and be decision and results oriented while balancing varying business considerations/priorities is critical, as well as is the ability to demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking relative to problem analysis/resolution at both the strategic and functional levels.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills relative to staff management and achieving results through others.
  • Ability to provide expertise and credibility amongst participating and non-participating Blue Plans.
