As our Facility Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for employees and guests. You are directly responsible for managing agents on shift and ensures that they have appropriate knowledge and tools, through training and mentor. You are also responsible for providing protection for the Rose Quarter Campus, employees and property through patrolling, active monitoring of alarm systems, CCTV and access control systems.
SCHEDULE: Full-time security agents work 4 (10-hour) shifts a week, hours for this role are as follows:
Grave Shift (10 PM - 8 AM)
NIGHTLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Training, motivating, and managing Facility Security team members on duty.
- Performing regular check-ins with staff and conducting applicable performance evaluations.
- Assisting with hiring and onboarding of Security Agents.
- Coordinating with Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire Bureau incident response.
- Managing incidents, including detaining and/or apprehending persons who violate local, state, and federal laws.
- Operating and maintaining security and life safety systems.
- Auditing 24/7 QR Patrol System.
- Expected to routinely monitor and log the status of equipment and programs such as keys, radios, cameras, and company electronic devices (i.e. phones and tablets).
- Ensuring accurate completion of Workers Compensation (801) packets and assisting with reasonable suspicion employee incidents.
- Identifying and reporting safety issues and vital maintenance or repairs.
- Coordinating accurate setup, break down, and daily maintenance of Magnetometers and Evolv systems.
- Patrolling assigned facilities on foot or security vehicles.
- Ensuring appropriate incident documentation.
- Effectively raising emergency situations.
- Providing information and assistance to guests on campus. Supporting Security Agents as a critical issue resource.
- Coordinating lost & found operations.
- Overseeing shipping & receiving operations.
- Committed to developing a diverse and inclusive environment.
- Maintaining and submitting payroll records for direct reports.
- Filling out and distributing daily logs for the shift.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
- Certified with the current Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, DPSST.
- You are able to work graveyard shift hours
- Supervision experience in a security setting is preferred.
- Ability to walk, move, and bend freely due to the emergency nature of the position
- Must be able to patrol regularly and walk throughout the campus
- Ability to lead a team and provide mentorship and support to staff
- Ability to assess the needs of the team on a regular basis
- Communicate to Security leadership team for safety conditions, needs of the team, and escalation of issues
- Must perform in high-stress and fast-paced environment in an expedient manner for sustained periods, may perform tasks in front of the public.
