About the Role

Chanel is seeking a Director of Strategic Talent Pipeline and Operations who would be responsible for building strategic pipeline across Chanel, Inc. Strategic talent sourcing involves continuous efforts to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for critical business needs via sourcing strategies and external partnerships. The additional core responsibilities include managing the recruitment processes, policies, and procedures as well as Candidate Pool Development & Management (external and internal) to support critical business needs. This role reports directly into the Senior Group Director Talent Pipeline and is based in New York City.

What Impact You Can Create at Chanel:

TA Strategic Pipeline

  • Workday Candidate Pools: Build infrastructure of candidate pools, ensure recruiters actively leveraging our networks of talents further reducing time to fill and quality candidates
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with recruitment agencies and D&I strategic sourcing partners developing our current network of preferred vendors for each business function and regional geography. Negotiate vendor agreements, partnering with indirect procurement and legal teams as needed. Assess performance/ROI on each partnership for budget implications.
  • Recruitment Performance & KPIs:
  • Building holistic sourcing strategies to build external pipeline in partnership with recruitment leaders.
  • Report out on monthly recruitment metrics
  • Track key recruitment data, building out new metrics in partnership with workday team (ex: Source of hires)
  • In partnership with Recruitment leader, establish and roll out clear recruitment KPIs to be tracked, measured and leveraged for recruitment performance

TA Technology and Effectiveness

  • Technology: Responsible for portfolio of recruitment technology measuring usage, accuracy, KPIs of tool, etc. Responsible for roll out/project management of any new tools
  • Process Optimization: Responsible for ensuring recruitment process is consistently followed across recruitment team. Updating, editing and refining as needed to ensure complaint, inclusive, aligned with recruitment mission and addressing any changes/challenges from the talent market.
  • Queue Management: Handle recruitment queues for corporate/retail positions in partnership with the Recruitment Directors, managing volume for team. Creating new Workday Reports to better track, anticipate and share out for reporting purposes.
  • Budget Management: Optimize talent spend by partnering with Talent Leader, and have responsibility for managing and accessing recruitment budget (temp recruiters, agency fees, D&I partnership investment etc.) This includes forecasting exercises with FP&A partners
  • TA Compliance/Legal Lead the process, change management and education project for any new laws that impact recruitment. Deep partnership with legal and P&O operations.             
  • Handle any ad hoc compliance/legal issues with recruitment team. Learning, educating and as necessary creating new processes/best practices to mitigate future issues

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Creative thinking & problem solving, ability to remain agile and generate creative solutions when hitting roadblocks
  • Proven recruitment experience, preferably in the retail industry (ideally high-volume recruitment at a large organization)
  • Strategic and data-driven approach to talent acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • High sense of accountability for both individual work and team impact

  • Leverage external research to enhance our ways of working bringing the outside in pulling the outside in via constant reading, research, conversations, conferences, etc.
  • Experimenting with new technology (Co-Pilot, etc.) to explore how to enhance the corporate recruitment process
  • Role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • This role is deemed partially remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at our New York City Headquarters

Compensation:

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is $133,000-$160,000K. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
