As a Nurse Practitioner at Richmond County health department within East Central Public Health District, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Starting salary range:
$70,000-72,500; $75,000 after public health training completeWho we are. Job Responsibilities
Collection of pertinent health information prior to examinations
Ability to interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal
Instructs and counsels clients about prescribed therapeutic regimens
Completes accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) in timely manner
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate or master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
Certification in the specialty area
Current Georgia License as an APRN
Active and non-restricted Professional Nursing license in the state of Georgia
Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Collection of pertinent information from new and returning patients in addition to physical examinations
Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, wound care and infection management
Insertion and removal of birth control apparatuses

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
