Position Summary:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor on 2nd shift to lead a team of associates to drive operational efficiency, product quality, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
How You’ll Impact Results:
- Your leadership will ensure production goals are met safely and effectively, setting the standard for success
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve excellence in manufacturing operations, ensuring precision and passion
- Maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality in the manufacturing environment
- Supervise and support a diverse team, fostering professional growth and teamwork
- Cultivate a proactive safety culture and implement strategies to prevent accidents
- Drive initiatives to meet and exceed objectives in safety, quality, efficiency, cost management, and waste reduction
- Take accountability for the development of associates, identifying training and advancement opportunities
- Lead problem-solving efforts, using root cause analysis to implement actionable solutions
- Promote a strong food safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Embody and promote Just Born leadership behaviors, providing coaching, feedback, and support for self-development
- Uphold Just Born’s Purpose, Vision, and RESPECT Philosophy
- Manage budget responsibilities to maintain financial integrity.
- Additional duties & responsibilities as required. May require flexing to other shifts to cover vacations/absences.
Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management focus preferred.
- 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience required
- Experience leading within a unionized environment is highly preferred
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with proven abilities to carry out a root cause analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
- Excellent time management to meet production deadlines and ensure workflow efficiency
- Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering a positive, harmonious work environment
- Active listener, valuing team input and feedback
- Adaptable to changing conditions, making quick decisions and capable of adjusting strategies as needed
- Confident leader, providing clear direction and motivating teams to perform at their best
- Critical thinker with strong reasoning skills for evaluating solutions and taking action
