American Express’ Global Advertising & Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most creative department in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. Within GABM sits the Learning, Development, and Communications Strategy team, which manages Amex Marketing U, a unique learning and development program built for marketers, by marketers. Amex Marketing U inspires marketers to stay curious and develop their career through innovative flexible and adaptable learning experiences and opportunities that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the enterprise.

Our team is looking for an experienced senior analyst who can elevate the work of Amex Marketing U. The colleague will support the development of our marketer curriculum, including managing our New Amex Marketer onboarding program and ongoing project management of our on-demand interactive trainings. Additionally, this colleague will manage, track, and report on all team metrics, create quarterly reports for leadership review, and make strategic suggestions for program changes based on findings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning and development and eager to drive our mission of building a culture of learning forward, understanding the power of metrics and data to support our team’s growth.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end ownership of Amex Marketing U metrics & data, including:
    • Gathering program metrics and creating quarterly and annual read-outs for leadership and partners
    • Managing annual feedback surveys and focus groups and other surveys as needed.
  • Primary management of new curriculum development projects, including: 
    • Owning the relationship with external training development vendor
    • Managing internal stakeholders and SMEs
    • Tracking project timelines and ensuring timely delivery of trainings, as well as monitoring when trainings are due to be updated
    • Uploading, tracking, and managing on-demand trainings to Navigator, our internal instance of the Cornerstone LMS
    • Tracking and reporting training metrics
  • Execution of the New Amex Marketer onboarding program, including:
    • Organization and management of program materials, and delivery of program elements (e.g., emails, networking events) to New Marketer audience
    • Collaborating with partner business units and full Amex Marketing U team to understand and adapt onboarding needs for global marketers
    • Tracking and reporting New Amex Marketer program metrics
  • Assisting with broader Amex Marketing U events as needed

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years relevant of work experience. 
  • Superior, detail-oriented verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and various audiences to drive teams towards a common goal
  • Ability to synthesis complex data into a compelling and digestible visual story
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with a broad range of internal business partners 
  • Experience with the following tools a plus: Airtable, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Qualtrics, Cornerstone

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
