Senior Director of Career and Alumni Success, Atlanta
As the senior director, you will collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for advancing career development and alumni success while providing visionary direction for the CAS Atlanta department in alignment with SCAD's overall strategic goals. You will be expected to conduct supervisory duties like hiring, training, performance assessment, and issue resolution, acting as the primary point of contact for industry relations and facilitating talent acquisition, internships, job placements, and recruitment initiatives. Responsibilities include overseeing industry outreach and employer recruitment efforts; designing and executing recruitment events and programs to expand career opportunities for students; and using data analysis to assess and improve programs, alumni outcomes, and industry partnerships.
In the position of senior director, you will foster connections between alumni, current students, and peers in the Atlanta region to encourage participation in SCAD events and initiatives. Your job will be to professionally represent CAS at various events; maintain effective communication and collaboration channels with students, alumni, industry partners, and internal stakeholders; and ensure consistent and accurate reporting by the CAS Atlanta team in SCAD's databases.
The ideal candidate should have a data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret metrics to drive program enhancements. They should be an innovative and strategic thinker, capable of envisioning and implementing new initiatives with a proficiency in utilizing relevant software and technology platforms. Additionally, they will use knowledge of the metro Atlanta hiring landscape to tailor career development strategies that align with local job market dynamics.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in a creative field or adjacent area
- Experience in new talent acquisition or mentoring young creative talent in a professional or academic setting
- Demonstrated fluency in the digital media landscape and proven track record of successfully building and maintaining relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
- Exceptional leadership, communication, team management, and interpersonal skills with a strong understanding of talent acquisition, recruitment strategies, and industry trends
- Familiarity with metro Atlanta's hiring practices and local job market dynamics

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
