POSITION SUMMARY

TheSeniorDirector,Development isahighperforming, self-motivatedleaderresponsible for assisting the Managing Director with strategic development, best practices development,andoperational oversight within the Envision Dallas Foundation.The primary function of theSeniorDirector of Development is to broaden the base of donors and secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporationsThis position administers the organizational level short and long-range development plans, raising funds to support the mission and workinghand-in-handwith the other programmatic departments it supports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Execute annual fundraising plan to achieve revenue goals including individual giving, direct mail, special events, employee giving, and plannedgiving.
  • Identifies potential contributors including individuals, corporations, and foundations;develops strategiesand activelysecuresmajor philanthropic support.
  • Activelyworks with theDirector,Philanthropyto cultivateindividualdonorprospects capable of makingmajor giftsandcreatescompelling strategies for transformational gifts.
  • Securessponsorship and participants for all fundraising events.
  • Coach participants to achieve fundraising goals for White Cane Day Walk event
  • Organize andmanageall specialeventsmost notably EnvisionWhite Cane Day WalksignatureGolf &Gala fundraising events. Responsibility includes coordination, execution and follow-up.
  • Manage donor recognition/appreciation activities and events.Support plannedgiving programand endowment strategies.
  • Provide support totheDirector, Philanthropyin identifying and developing strategies, SOPs and KPIs that positively impact or improve theEnvision DallasFoundationoutput and viability.
  • Maintain professional contact with other institutions, associations, and organizations where collaboration and networking are of benefit to both parties.
  • Collaborate closely withEnvision’sMarketingTeam to prepare printed materials, as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in the annual strategic planning process to include budgeting, monthly business reviews and other financial metricsas required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintain compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: Minimum of 6 years proven experience in fund raising/development or sales as well as managerial/administrative oversight. Related experience may be substituted.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of donor database management systems.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with donors, volunteers and the public with diplomacy, discretion, and customer-service orientation.
