Business Blueprint aims to serve American Express Small Business customers in managing their cash flow needs through a differentiated set of products like Business Line of Credit, Business Checking, and small business Cards.

As a Senior Manager of Product Development, Blueprint Account Services, you will focus on delivering solutions for managing customer demographic information across small business products. This role focuses on collaborating with engineering, design, fraud-risk and compliance partners to implement secure, scalable experiences for customers to access, verify and edit their demographic data as well as manage notification preferences and access important account alerts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Blueprint product teams and enterprise teams to implement consolidated customer and business demographic data for use across small business products. Ensure the implementation of these guidelines aligns with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with product and compliance teams to create and enforce streamlined validation rules to ensure the accuracy and security of demographic data at the point of entry and during updates.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise login systems and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Implement systems that allow users to manage their communication preferences easily, including opting in or out of specific notifications.
  • Contribute to the development and business case creation for a flexible platform architecture that supports multiple business products.
  • Design a new platform capability to leverage customer profile information to deliver personalized experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years in product management, product development, strategy, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in leading product development initiatives from concept to execution, delivering impactful solutions with autonomy and proactivity.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development frameworks
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, data analytics) to drive product outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with tools like Excel, Jira, Tableau, and other product analytics and management tools.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from conception to delivery and solve complex problems with simple, effective solutions.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities concurrently while adapting to shifting project requirements
  • Knowledge of metrics to track product success, with experience in using these insights to inform strategy and roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing customer demographic data guidelines, working with KYC/B-Refresh workflows or related projects. 
  • Previous experience in product development or product management roles with a focus on small business solutions or financial services.
  • Experience leading presentations and providing updates to senior executives, with a strong ability to influence and drive partner engagement.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
