Terminal Supervisor (Maintenance) - Seacoast Terminals

Description
The Seacoast Terminals Maintenance Supervisor will work as part of the Terminal Management team to provide direct supervision/support of terminal operations and maintenance at Seacoast facilities.
Duties:
- Supervise, manage, support, and develop employees.
- Support and foster Sprague’s safety culture.
- Serve in a management capacity, supporting the Terminal Management Team in achieving Terminal performance objectives at both Seacoast facilities.
- Supervise the maintenance team, coordinating repair and preventative maintenance tasks, and ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment and systems.
- Manage and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate data entry, timely updates, and the generation of reports for analysis and decision-making.
- Travel to other Sprague locations as needed to support operations and maintenance efforts, ensuring consistency in standards and practices.
- Communicate, monitor, and administer compliance with all safety, operating, environmental and business procedures/policies, and management directives.
- Work closely with other Sprague departments and third-party customers to ensure marine, pipeline, and other types of product transfers are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work with Terminal Management Team, Sprague Engineers, and third-party contractors supporting projects related to terminal infrastructure and equipment.
- Oversee contractors and ensure they are conversant and compliant with all applicable terminal operations, policies, and procedures.
- Establish high standards for performance, supporting high performing employees with additional opportunities to develop while also developing and executing improvement plans with underperforming employees.
- Understand terminal budgeting process, actively assist operations/engineering to manage projects from design through safe execution on time and budget.
- Interface with internal and external customers, regulators, and other stakeholders in a professional manner
- Work with federal, state, and local officials in a professional manner to ensure terminal compliance with all applicable procedures and laws pertaining to terminal operations.
Education/Experience/Requirements:
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in maintenance & strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software and tools.
- Proven competency within current core responsibilities and successful track record of learning both operations and new technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify safety risks, and communicate lessons learned along with suggestions to reduce or eliminate risks.
- Ability to handle issues safely, and effectively in an ever-changing operating environment.
- Strong advocate of continuous improvement demonstrated through various work experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high functioning team.
- Strong role model and demonstrated ability to lead by example.
- Strong proven personnel management record of accomplishment including ability to demonstrate leadership potential through core job responsibilities or temporary assignments.
- Proven analytical and presentation skills.
- Skilled in MS Office software.
- Demonstrated knowledge in rack automation preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Valid driver's license and TWIC or ability to obtain a TWIC required.
- Ability to learn through hands on training and work outside in all types of weather.
- High school diploma.
Physical activity/strength requirements are demanding and may include:
- Frequent standing, climbing-stairs ladders, slopes (i.e., tank ladders/stairs/ramps), grasping/handling, and in/out of truck.
- Constant walking.
- Occasional bending/stooping, squatting, reaching forward/overhead, crawling, kneeling, twisting, neck flexion/extension, balancing, and sitting.
- Constant lifting/carrying 1-10 lbs., frequently 11-20lbs, occasionally 21-100lbs plus lbs. (i.e. oil, steel parts, spouts, tools)
- Constant pushing/pulling 1-10lbs, frequently 11- 50 lbs, occasionally 51- 100 plus lbs. (i.e. mooring lines, barge and ship hoses)
- Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions including extreme heat/cold, noise, petroleum products, chemical agents and fumes and odors and slippery surfaces caused by weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to dust, and vibrations
- Frequent driving, vehicle equipment and use of power tools/equipment.
