University Safety Operations Manager
Position Summary
The University Safety Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight and supervision of multiple University Safety Operations Specialists and the Savannah Safety Operations Center (SSOC). The University Safety Operations Manager continually manages the SSOC operations, the employees working within the SSOC, and additionally provides on-duty operational oversight for the university as it relates to the private security contractor for the SCAD campus in Savannah, Georgia.

Duties and responsibilities
- % - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may vary and other duties may be assigned. •Daily oversight and supervision of campus safety and security operations center and employees •Training operations center employees •Retrieving camera footage for use in court testimony •Testifying in criminal proceeding when necessary •Utilizing various campus safety software applications •Utilizing basic crime analysis software to prepare weekly crime reports •Directing contract security resources •Respond to and coordinating resources during critical incidents This position is identified as essential personnel in the university's emergency and disaster response plans. In the event of a university closure or evacuation, all essential personnel shall report. - (Essential)
Minimum Qualifications: - 2+ years of related management experience in security/ safety, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Event planning and crisis management experience preferred
- Experience interfacing and collaborating with peers, law enforcement and emergency services components preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to think critically and quickly, assess evolving situations, identify root cause to problems, and adjust plans to ensure success
