This is a full-time, academic year, term contract in the Division of Arts, Sciences, &amp; Technologies. The position reports to the Dean of Arts, Sciences, &amp; Technologies and will be primarily stationed in the Henry County, TN area.&nbsp;
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Teach 30 hours (TLE) per academic year in Mathematics and Orientation (willingness to teach overloads as needed) in a combination of learning support, co-requisite, and/or college- level mathematics.
•Ability to teach and manage multiple courses in an individualized setting.
•Teach a range of ages from Dual Enrollment high school students to nontraditional, returning adults.
•Recruit students from area high schools and from the community to make DSCC’s program viable and competitive.

<li>Must hold an active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee</li>
<li>Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in the nursing field within the last 5 years.</li>
<li>Minimum of three (3) years current clinical nursing experience.</li>
<li>High level skills in oral and written communication;</li>
<li>Evidence of strong work ethic as it relates to timeliness of reporting, oversight of multiple on-going projects, and the ability to work with others;</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills;</li>
<li>Ability to deal tactfully with the students, public, and co-workers; to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions; and</li>
<li>Possess a valid TN driver’s license.</li>

Preferred Qualifications:

<li>Prior teaching experience, especially in a postsecondary setting.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.</li>

General Duties:
The part-time Clinical Adjunct is responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom/lab and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other assigned duties. This position reports to the Health Careers Coordinator. This part-time position will be for two 11-hour clinical days per week, Mondays and Wednesday, from 6:30 Am until 6:00 PM.

The Clinical Adjunct Instructor is responsible for performing the following duties:&nbsp;

<li>Teach skills appropriate to the occupational area that will prepare students to become an economic asset.</li>
<li>Guide students in selection, perception, and performance of suitable learning activities.</li>
<li>Organize class time effectively and efficiently in order that learning activities can be accomplished.</li>
<li>Start and end class at designated time.</li>
<li>Utilize individual and/or group instructional procedures appropriate to the requirements of the assigned activities and the students’ needs.</li>
<li>Supervise student conduct to ensure that the potentially hazardous clinics/labs/classrooms provide an orderly environment conducive to productivity.</li>
<li>Maintain a well-organized, safe, and clean clinic and/or classroom.</li>
<li>Advise students of the importance of safety in relation to machinery, tools, and equipment.</li>
<li>Investigate and make a full report on every accident on the day the accident occurs, using the “Preliminary Accident Report Form.”</li>
<li>Be responsible for equipment, tools, and supplies assigned to clinic and/or classroom.</li>
<li>Maintain an inventory of equipment, controls storage, repair, and usage of materials to minimize loss or abuse.</li>
<li>Keep and share with students continuously updated records of attendance and competencies acquired during their enrollment.</li>
<li>Evaluate each student’s progress at multiple intervals during each trimester and complete permanent records.</li>
<li>Assist, as directed by administration, in follow-up evaluations of graduates and their programs.</li>
<li>Attend and participate in various school functions such as graduation, open houses, and other functions as assigned by the Academic Coordinator.</li>
<li>Meet deadlines of yearly mandated training.</li>
<li>Perform other duties directly related to career and technical education as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator.</li>

Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS)
Walking, climbing, bending, and stooping. Work performed in office, testing center and classroom environments. Position requires the use of a computer.
Sedentary Work – Walking or standing to a significant degree; sitting for brief periods of time; be able to bend and stoop; use body members (arms, hands, fingers).

EVENING INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR
&nbsp;
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the part-time&nbsp;
position of Instructor in the Evening Industrial Electricity program.
&nbsp;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•&nbsp; Minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials&nbsp;
in related field.
•&nbsp; Minimum three (3) years of experience in the industrial maintenance / electrical field within&nbsp;
the last five (5) years.
•&nbsp; Must be proficient in residential, commercial, and industrial electricity with extensive&nbsp;
knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
•&nbsp; Experience with mechanical maintenance, motors, electromechanical controls, AC variable&nbsp;
frequency drives, electronics, programmable logic controllers, robotics, and blueprints
•&nbsp; Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
•&nbsp; Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality;
•&nbsp; Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher&nbsp;

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Evening Industrial Electricity Instructor is responsible for providing&nbsp;
individualized classroom and lab instruction to students. The Instructor must monitor, grade, and&nbsp;
evaluate individual students’ progress, maintain student records in the college’s student records&nbsp;
management software, maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports. The instructor&nbsp;
must also maintain good public relations with related business and industry, assist with advisory&nbsp;
committee duties, cooperate with outside agencies and supervise and follow-up on students&nbsp;
participating in cooperative education.
&nbsp;
Other duties include participation in curriculum development, student recordkeeping, and student&nbsp;
recruitment, placement, follow-up of program graduates, participation in professional development&nbsp;
activities, and participation in student organizations. Some travel is required.
&nbsp;

SALARY: $31.50 per hour.
