Professor of Dramatic Writing

As the professor of themed entertainment design with a focus on teaching design and development of theme parks and themed environments, you will instruct students on the development of show set packages including the creation of conceptual designs, design phases, style, mood, storyboards, 3D renderings, spatial illustration walkthroughs, and more. You will be required to plan and prepare lessons, maintain an active and engaged classroom environment, and provide feedback to students to aid in their academic progress. Responsibilities include syllabus design, submission, and approval; holding office hours and conducting midterm grade reviews; providing extra-help sessions, extended-learning opportunities, and field trips; and conducting course and program-level assessments.&nbsp;The position entails fulfilling grading and academic documentation requirements, recording attendance, following academic policies and regulations, and supporting academic assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts. Additionally in this role you support accreditation and any other events, exhibitions, or publicity assignments.&nbsp;&nbsp;The ideal candidate will be able to research and provide scenic finish applications and thematic materials, in addition to providing innovative design solutions. They should exhibit a basic understanding of throughput, guest capacities, and queuing while enjoying working in a studio team environment.
