POSITION SUMMARY The Financial Aid Counselor, Extended Campuses, provides excellent customer service and guidance to diverse groups of both traditional and non-traditional students and their families throughout the financial aid process; and supports students at our extended campuses with financial aid questions both virtually and in person. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guidance throughout the financial aid process to prospective, new, and current students and their families. Evaluate students’ Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). Counsel students regarding file completion, repercussions of drops/withdrawals, SAP appeals. Maintain knowledge of polices of other departments (registrar. Bursar, human resources, admissions, etc.) and understand the impact of their processing on a student’s financial aid eligibility.
