Position SummaryThe RN performs pre-surgical nursing assessments and provides education to the patient prior to admission at the Ambulatory Surgery Center.&nbsp; The RN assesses and evaluates the care needs of the patient, requests necessary pre-surgical clearances and diagnostics, and communicates the patient's plan of care to the ASC.Schedule: day shift, 3x12s or 4x10s (no nights, no weekends, no holidays, no call)$5,000 sign-on bonus!Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe key duties and responsibilities of the RN include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout their surgical experience</li><li>Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with all patients, physicians and staff</li><li>Assist in patient education during all phases of their experience at the Center</li><li>Assist in assuring that the proper supplies, instruments and equipment are available for the procedure</li><li>Assist in assuring that equipment is functioning properly</li><li>Monitor use of all supplies. Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) + $5,000 sign-on bonus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.<ul><li>Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours.</li><li> May assist with billing log preparation and updates.</li><li>Perform duties as assigned to meet the patient care or operational needs of the clinic</li><li> Obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis as required to complete physician orders.</li><li> Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles.</li><li>Knowledge of and comply with applicable health care professionals practice act requirements.</li><li>Perform duties at all times under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and within limitations established by and in accordance with company policy and procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulations</li><li>Maintain thorough, accurate, and appropriate documentation in the patient record of all treatments, activities, and communication with the patient, physician and other healthcare professionals to include progress reports.</li><li>Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the Charge Nurse.</li><li> Report machine problems to Biomedical Technician and Administrator.</li><li> Participate in staff meetings as required.
