Public Health Nurse Specialist

Compensation Type: HourlyCompensation: $21.22Job SummaryThe Specialist reports to the Manager of Healthcare Strategy and performs a variety of responsibilities related to healthcare-specific admissions, enrollment, and retention Columbus State Community College. The Specialist evaluates documents and executes processes which support the functions such as program admissions, course enrollment, and health record management. The Specialist may also be responsible for logistical support for events, calendars, and grant-related reporting.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSAcademic Document Processing<ul><li><h4>Processes documents and enters data related to program admissions and enrollment. Follows Federal and State regulations and College practices and guidelines, to ensure institutional compliance. Certifies student eligibility based on health records, background checks, and other pre-requisites determined by each academic discipline.</h4></li><li><h4>Calculates and correlates student admissions documentation for selective admissions programs based on faculty and accreditation standards.</h4></li><li><h4>Completes enrollment processes for students who are selected for healthcare-related program admission.</h4></li></ul>Clerical &amp; Operational Support<ul><li><h4>Maintains records for grant-related reporting and assessment, as well as confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information.</h4></li><li><h4>Coordinates schedules and events for the Healthcare Strategy team.
