Shift is TBD. The Etowah, TN plant houses two major furnaces and two glass mat lines. Molten glass is produced on both furnaces and converted to a continuous filament fiber. The fiber is chopped to a prescribed length and then used in various processes in the building industry.&nbsp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Crew coverage</li><li>Conduct pre-shift meetings.</li><li>Monitors production reporting and scheduling in various systems</li><li>Executes product changeovers with crew.</li><li>Enters/monitors downtime, scrap and work requests.</li><li>Time &amp; Attendance through ADP</li><li>Oversees the machine attendant/dry end chief training process including improving the system and delivering training to new Machine attendants/dry end chiefs, and refresher training as needed.</li><li>Drives improvements in mat department SOPs, JSAs, and hazard assessments to improve knowledge retention and transfer in the mat department.</li><li>Responsible for new mat department employee orientation</li><li>Leads department safety initiatives by working with safety leads on various safety projects.</li><li>Relieves shift supervisor as needed</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul>Leadership Skills:<ul><li>Proven communication skills</li><li>Ability to evaluate performance and coach others</li><li>Experience in motivating and leading a team</li><li>Ability to address employee issues as needed</li><li>Demonstrated personal initiative to accept new tasks</li><li>Established ability to prioritize multiple tasks</li><li>Willingness &amp; ability to perform as a back-up Supervisor</li></ul> &nbsp;Qualifications:<ul><li>High School degree and/or 3-5 years of related experience.</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks at once</li><li>Strong leadership skills</li><li>Ability to work well with a diversified workforce at all levels of the business</li><li>Ability to proactively seek to resolve problems and take initiative to get the job done</li><li>Industry related experience preferred</li><li>Proven experience in mentoring and guiding others.</li></ul> We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
