Physical Requirements
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; working in confined spaces; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and cuts/punctures.
Shift
Monday- Friday, Day shift, 7:30 8:00am – 5:00pm. Hours and days of the week are subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department. Holidays are not currently a requirement, but always subject to change.
Job Summary
This position will support the Medication Therapy Management team. This centralized team supports all of UK Healthcare’s retail pharmacy locations, as well as enterprise efforts to maintain and improve medication adherence rates to positively impact Medicare Star Ratings. This position requires providing optimal, conversational customer service to patients, the ability to prioritize job responsibilities while multi-tasking, and a willingness to contribute to expansion efforts to further grow the team. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, outreach to UKHC patients regarding medication adherence, working in OutcomesMTM, Pre-Visit Review calls for Primary Care patients, and collaborating with other members of the pharmacy team.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; a “team” mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.

Preferred Education/Experience
PharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or equivalent experience) preferred.
