Assistant or Associate Professor of Instruction in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure faculty position at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor of Instruction. Rank and salary will be based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Duties of the successful candidate will include teaching a variety of undergraduate mechanical engineering classes with a focus on Electromechanical Systems, Mechatronics, Intro to LABVIEW, Elect?instrumentation or courses in the Thermofluid area, as well as Senior Design Project.

Job Requirements:
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field, with a record of mechanical engineering design experience and demonstrated excellence in teaching. We will also consider applicants with a master's degree where there is a considerable degree of relevant industrial experience in the aerospace area.
