Position Summary
- The Business Analyst II in the Molecular Evaluation team will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between scientific research needs and IT solutions. This role involves collaborating with researchers, lab personnel, and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements, configure solutions, and support the implementation and maintenance of applications that enhance small- and large-molecule screening processes. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background and the ability to translate scientific requirements into effective IT solutions. This position requires a hands-on approach to ensure that the applications meet the needs of the research community and drive quality, urgency, and efficiency in our scientific endeavors.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with researchers and lab personnel to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements for molecular evaluation applications.
- Work closely with IT teams to configure and implement solutions that align with the needs of the Molecular Evaluation team.
- Ensure the effective deployment and support of applications, providing ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of applications across different research functions and sites.
- Provide training and support to end users to maximize the utilization and effectiveness of the applications.
- Partner with IT peers across RBI&T to provide insightful and actionable analysis in support of the portfolio of digital capability investments.
- Clarify business demands by eliciting business needs, mapping complex processes, discovering root causes, curating requirements and user stories, and highlighting business value opportunities.
- Advocate for value by representing a "voice of the customer" and ensuring project delivery teams are well informed to make the right trade-offs between speed, quality, and cost.
- Communicate effectively by organizing and presenting complex ideas in a simple, convincing, and compelling manner; able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a scientific or research environment.
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and research workflows strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a Growth Mindset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
