Job Description and Requirements

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for creating relationships within the local community to increase total membership growth and develop strategic partnerships in their assigned region.

The area of assignment will be in the greater Garland and surrounding area.  Must be within a reasonable commute to these cities.  This area will expand in the future as our credit union expands in the Dallas Region.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison for the credit union with the communities it serves
  • Must meet deadlines on all reports as required to maintain on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual periods
  • Conduct cold calling either by phone or in person to arrange meetings or setups with companies, civic organizations, and associations to grow the credit union field of membership
  • Develop new and existing relationships that result in increased membership and market growth
  • Promote credit union visibility through participation in community events and sponsorships
  • Attend events that the credit union participates in on a weekly basis
  • Serve as primary liaison and contact for promotional affairs for assigned communities.
  • Communicate effectively with prospective and current members, contacts and teammates to represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner
  • Must meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Become highly knowledgeable in Products & Services RBFCU offers and have the ability to explain them to the public

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of one year previous job-related work experience
  • Valid Drivers License
  • The area of assignment will be in the greater Garland and surrounding area. Must be within a reasonable commute to these cities.
  • Must be able to work weekends and evenings when needed
  • Flexibility to attend events and conferences when required
  • Work independently and assist other team members when needed
  • Must pass a Defensive Drivers Class and retake course as required
  • Ability to stay calm while under pressure
