Job DescriptionPURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Coordinator I, Student Success and Completion facilitates daily operations within the Office of Student Success and Completion by assisting with the administrative processes that support system-wide business processes. Position serves as subject-matter-expert for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student Success processes and helps ensure consistent practices are followed throughout Lone Star College by auditing data and working with employees at campuses to resolve issues. Coordinates logistics, services and support surrounding programs or departments. Responsible for compliance with policies, procedures and a variety of local, state and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees daily and some long-term operations, actively maintains up-to-date knowledge of area, acts as Subject Matter Expert and general point of contact within the department
- Assists with designing, implementing, and maintaining queries and reports for a variety of projects, utilizing programs such as PeopleSoft and PowerBI
- Assist with maintaining compliance of processes and documentation
- Assists with training and monitoring of department staff, schedules and prioritizes work activities
- Assists with evaluation of programs, makes recommendations for revisions to processes and procedures, and assists with development of new programs
- Coordinates various department and management calendars and schedules, assists with planning, schedules and coordinates various meetings/seminars/events, including site selection and preparation, marketing and training materials, and general support
- Monitors and controls department resources, such as office supplies and equipment needed, submits requisitions and follows up with reconciliation documentation
- May monitor and maintain website for department and external use
- Assists with entering and tracking the department budget
- Takes part in special projects as needed
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience using PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions Communication Process
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Hiring salary range is $38,761 - $44,576.
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.
