Work Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8-5; Tuesday 8-7 & Fridays 8-12 (subject to change) with a 30 min lunch break

As an PH Customer Service Representative 1 or 2 within the Union County Health DepartmentAt District Two, Georgia Department of Public Healthyou will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. District 2 Public Health serves 13 counties in northeast Georgia, including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, and White counties. One of the fastest growing regions in the state, District 2 includes rural and urban communities with diverse public health challenges.

Job Responsibilities

CSR 1 Responsibilities-
Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. 
CSR 2 Responsibilities -Under general supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. May resolve complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures or laws to respond to clients or visitors.

Additional, not limited too: 
1. Public Contact – Greet clients and receive incoming telephone calls; helping to resolve the clients issues; direct calls and clients to appropriate staff and/or other agency
2. Data Entry – Enter data into the computer using VHN Software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
3. Locate and file Personal Health Information
4. Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

CSR 1 Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 6 months experience handling customer’s questions, complaints and/or providing info.

CSR 2 Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited college or university OR One year of experience in a customer service setting communicating information OR One year of experience required at the lower level Customer Service Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to read cursive handwriting.
Experience processing paperwork and fees for those services.
Experience working with Digital Health Department software.

Starting salaries vary depending upon qualifications and experience.
