Benefits:
40-hour work week (Monday – Friday), 13 paid holidays/yr., 3 weeks each of annual & sick leave/yr., a defined benefit retirement plan including a 401(K) plan with a matching employer contribution, health and payroll deductible flexible benefits including employee, spouse and child life, AD&D, dental, vision, legal, long term care, short and long-term disability and specified illness options are available. Also, medical/childcare spending accounts can be established in addition to deferred compensation – 457.
Job Responsibilities
- Public Contact – Greet clients and receive incoming telephone calls; helping to resolve the clients issues; direct calls and clients to appropriate staff and/or other agency
- Data Entry – Enter data into the computer using DHD software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Locate and file Environmental Health information some of which is written in cursive
- Collect department fees and balance cash drawer daily
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Customer Service Representative 1
High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required.
Customer Service Representative 2
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent.
Customer Service Representative 3
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 2 (GST121).
Preferred Qualifications:
The ability to read cursive handwriting.
Experience processing paperwork and fees for those services.
Experience working with Digital Health Department software.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.

Salary range
