Overview

LMI is seeking a Junior Performance Management Data Analyst to support an exciting military health client engagement. The selected candidate will join a team of innovators, designers, and technologists to support the design, start-up, and management of an innovation cell for the military health client– an internal process, technology, and workforce accelerator program, where mission-enabling ideas are prototype, tested, and scaled. This cell will develop innovative processes and technology that directly impact both the quality care that servicemembers receive and the readiness of our national defense organizations. The LMI team will conduct an initial assessment to enable the organization stand-up, and will then provide management and acceleration support to enable innovation cell day-to-day operations. This position will collaborate with a team of analysts, designers, and strategists to assist the client in defining and managing outcomes, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for their portfolio of priorities. The role emphasizes supporting the development and application of continuous performance management and improvement frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making and measurable organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing data to support the definition and tracking of OKRs and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify performance goals and outcomes aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Support the design and maintenance of dashboards and reporting systems to communicate portfolio performance.
  • Conduct data analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the client’s portfolio of priorities.
  • Assist in automating data collection, validation, and reporting processes to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in performance reviews, providing actionable insights to improve outcomes and processes.
  • Support the development of continuous performance improvement methodologies and frameworks.
  • Assist in workshops and training sessions focused on enabling data-driven decision-making and performance management.
  • Document and communicate findings, reports, and recommendations to both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and security throughout all performance management activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-10 years of experience in data analytics, performance management, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with OKR and KPI frameworks and their application in performance management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with healthcare or government data systems.
  • Exposure to performance management methodologies like Balanced Scorecard or Continuous Improvement.
  • Basic understanding of automation tools for reporting and analytics workflows.
  • Interest in developing expertise in strategic performance management frameworks.
  • Certification or coursework in data analytics or performance management tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Analytics).

Target Salary: $100,000 - 130,000. Disclaimer: The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
