Position Overview:What if you could use your Data and Reporting experience to develop offerings that revolutionize the back-office operations of the entertainment industry? Our digital solutions covering Accounting & Financials, Payroll & HR, Content & Collaboration are designed to fuel creativity and help entertainment projects run as efficiently as possible. That's why we're looking for a talented Director of Product, Reporting & Data to join Cast and Crew on our journey to transform reporting, data and analytics for an industry with a history of manual workflows on productions.
As the Director of Product Management for Reporting & Data, you will be hands on in your role and lead the strategy, development, and execution of our next-generation reporting interfaces and data solutions. This role focuses on overseeing the completion of our new Reporting offering with both standard and customizable template-based reports, developing analytics, robust customer-facing APIs, and managing data feeds utilizing Snowflake and other similar solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the evolving needs of the entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and roadmap for data and reporting products, aligning with overall business goals and user requirements.
- Define and execute product strategy for next generation reporting platforms and data products, ensuring they meet market needs and maintain company standards.
- Product Development and Management:
- Develop product requirements, user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria for proposed enhancements
- Work with developers and architects to brainstorm solutions and define clear success criterion
- Oversee the development of customer-facing APIs, data feeds, and a versatile Reporting UI that supports both templates and customizable reports.
- Manage data collection, ingestion, and transformation processes to enhance both customer-facing products and internal reporting systems.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor several Product Managers, focusing on optimal user experience for both novice and tech-savvy end-users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Data Science, Architecture and UX to ensure seamless integration and optimal product functionality.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Payroll Operations to drive Go-To-Market strategies and incorporate customer feedback into product development.
- Analytics and Insights:
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor product performance and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the redesign and re-platforming of existing reporting solutions, guided by analytics and user feedback.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party partners and collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to align data needs with business outcomes.
- Assist with quarterly planning and set objectives for product teams to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency.
Must-haveQualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years of product management experience and a bachelor’s degree.
- Enterprise Product Experience:
- Experience with enterprise/B2B product management.
- Proven track record of building and launching enterprise-scale solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and compliance (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
- Understanding of the challenges associated with enterprise adoption of new technologies, such as data privacy concerns and stakeholder alignment.
- Expertise in Data Integration and Processing:
- Deep understanding of data source integration (e.g., APIs, ETL pipelines, or direct database connections) and experience with structured and unstructured data.
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade data platforms and knowledge of distributed data systems (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Kafka).
- Technical Acumen:
- Hands-on familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), query languages (e.g., SQL), and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Ability to partner effectively with engineering teams, acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders.
- Tools Experience:
- Strong background with data analytics tools (PowerBI/ Tableau, etc),
- Proficient in using product management tools such as Jira, Jira Discovery, Figma, Confluence and Pendo.
- Data Proficiency:
- Comfortable handling large datasets and utilizing analytics tools to drive decision-making based on data insights.
- Understanding of data science and machine learning to support data analytics, science, and ML-driven product features.
- User-Centric Mindset:
- Ability to work closely with Clients and end users, conduct deep user research, and translate insights into actionable product requirements.
- Demonstrated focus on solving real-world customer challenges with measurable outcomes.
- Leadership and Decision-Making:
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to engineering teams.
- Comfort making decisions in scenarios where you may not have a lot of information to make data-driven decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- AI and ML Background:
- Experience working with AI/ML-driven products or platforms, particularly those leveraging generative AI.
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into clear, actionable business use cases for enterprise customers.
- Certifications:
- CSPO, PSPO, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and Generative AI/ML technologies.

Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

Salary range
- $150,000 - $190,000 per year
