The Team – Network Compliance & Automation (NCA)
The Network Compliance & Automation team, is part of the Distributed Infrastructure & Data Services (DI&DS) organization.The team is responsible for all network automation efforts, the development, maintenance and support of our in-house developed applications, and network compliance related objectives.As a member of this team, the candidate would support, develop and maintain these applications.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the infrastructure that our team's automation frameworks and in-house developed applications live on. This role involves collaborating closely our application teams, to continue to innovate and expand capabilities for our team. This role will be critical in optimizing our systems for performance and reliability, finding new ways to improve our existing infrastructure, remediating any security vulnerabilities, and contribute to the overall design process for our applications system architecture. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automating operations, developing new features, optimizing the code base, and continuous learning in the ever evolving cloud engineering space.
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary contact of support for our self-managed Confluent Kafka infrastructure and application
- Maintain, administrate, and support server infrastructure for multiple applications
- Remediate any discovered vulnerabilities related to any server configuration or application for all applications
- Develop new ways to automate tedious and manual tasks
- Contribute to our ever-growing automation frameworks
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of experience in the related field
- 5+ Years of experience supporting RedHat Linux and Windows server infrastructure
- 5+ Years of experience administrating and supporting Confluent Kafka
- 2-3 Years of experience administrating and supporting Logstash
- 2+ Years of experience developing automation or scripting with Python or a similar language
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands on experience with architecture, design and development of applications using technologies such as Python, Django, Messaging middleware such as Kafka, apache camel and virtualization technologies including docker, vagrant, deployment tools such as ansible, puppet and cluster engines including Kubernetes. Experience in architecting, designing, and leading a team of engineers for full stack application development with a detailed understanding of infrastructure, platform and containers as a service hosting and provisioning capabilities. Experience designing and building distributed architectures with a primary focus on micro services and messaging based architectures.
- Experience and knowledge of working in agile practices.
- Ability to translate business requirements into solutions. Successful track record of delivering quality results in sophisticated multi-functional projects. Ability to influence multi-functional teams, business and vendor partners, and technology leaders.
- Ability to stay engaged with constantly evolving container technology trends and use that knowledge to improve resiliency of the platforms.
Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
