Location: Hybrid/Remote. Requirement to be located in Northwest Arkansas area.

The Walmart Key Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that Hain achieves its targeted revenue, profit, and ROI goals for the Walmart account. Owns the customer relationship and guides Hain partnership with Walmart. The KAM represents specific brands under the Hain portfolio and works collaboratively with the cross functional team to drive efficient trade spend and profitable sales growth.

The KAM, implements and executes sales/profit objectives utilizing various marketing and distribution programs targeted for assigned retailers.  The incumbent strives to drive product dominance through assigned customers and meet and/or exceed volume, share growth, and trade spend targets while aggressively expanding brand distribution and in store planogram positioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains a high-level partnership with customer leaders.
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer strategy and proactively communicates to internal stakeholders to maximize Hain offerings.
  • Responsible for delivering volume, trade, distribution, share, and profit goals for assigned retailer
  • Partners effectively with cross-functional stakeholders (Brand, Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Demand Planning, customer business planning, revenue growth management) to deliver actionable solutions that focus on volume, share, and ROI goals.
  • Manages regional relationships to drive sales, alignment, priorities, and execute best in class customer plans.
  • Leverages category management principles across 4P's (price, promotion, placement, product) to influence distribution, share of shelving and display activities along with exploring development opportunities for ecomm content.
  • Creates and commercializes joint business plans with Walmart.  
  • Prepares presentations and attends all account calls to present compelling fact-based strategic selling story by utilizing syndicated data, general market trends, account databases, and local market knowledge in conjunction with corporate developed templates.
  • Activates strategies and tactics using an understanding of the customer's pricing and value strategies, promotional strategies, and the competitive environment to drive trial and loyalty to Hain products.
  • Takes personal accountability and ownership for results.
  • Coordinate with team analyst in managing trade investment system, forecasts and budgets to maximize execution and results.
  • Responsible for understanding and communicating the customer level budget and spending.
  • Assist in managing deductions and/or invoices received from customers for accounting purposes.
  • Maintain and present weekly business recap for team meetings
  • Responsible for program recap and post event analysis, ultimately sharing with cross functional partners for future strategic planning

Requirements:

  • Walmart experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of the Mass Channel.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a direct sales capacity within the CPG industry or related capacity.
  • Must be a self-starter, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset that drives speed of situational assessment and decision making.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business plans that exceed expected goals.
  • Capable of dissecting challenging business situations, developing business proposals, and presenting to senior management.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Walmart Luminate, Nielsen/IRI, Spins syndicated data.
  • Proven ability to meet and/or exceed sales goals on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to create and present sales data.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required along with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiator that seeks favorable outcomes for Hain and customers through creative value creation.
  • Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $90,000-$155,000 / year (commensurate with experience and location)
