As a learning experience media creator (LXMC), you will be at the forefront of creating engaging online content. You will use your field and studio production skills — including nonlinear editing, color correction, lighting, and audio — to produce high-quality videos under appropriate deadlines. You will ensure the audio quality on set and during postproduction is correct by using appropriate sound tools and techniques, applying audio correction, and sweetening when needed. You will manage an accurate video, lighting, grip, and audio/dubbing equipment inventory. Similarly, you will manage media assets (i.e., video, sound, visual effects, graphics, etc.) on a local and/or cloud-based system.

In this role, you will archive and back up all in-progress and finalized projects and associated media. You will support faculty professional development and student orientation programs through live and recorded information sessions, video productions, workshops, and trainings. Through collaborations with co-workers and subject-matter experts, you will design dynamic learning experiences for the SCADnow virtual platform via engaging online content. You will also produce and deploy transformative student and faculty-facing technology resources, interactive media, and educational videos for various digital platforms such as the Faculty Professional Development Portal, SCADextra, Blackboard, and MySCAD.

The successful candidate will have excellent, creative problem-solving and management skills to assess needs and react in real time to troubleshoot technical, location, and talent issues. The candidate will also be able to communicate complex information effectively to audiences from diverse backgrounds and levels; work effectively in both collaborative and independent scenarios; and lift, transport, and set up large film production equipment. They should also have the technical knowledge to maintain an extensive camera, lighting, and sound equipment inventory while regularly researching and proposing upgrades.
