About the role:

The Manager, Energy Consulting will report to the Sr Manager, Energy Solutions Strategy. You will direct a data-driven, software-enabled, consultative sales process, evaluating customer sites and designing optimal electrification solutions. You will act as an energy subject matter expert on electric fleet sales, grow a team of energy experts, and develop key electrification application tools. You will play a pivotal role in expanding MLA's market presence by supporting electrification solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective application analysis driving towards our 2035 goals.

What you will do:

  • Energy Consulting: Consult on electric fleet sales as a subject matter expert on application analysis, MLA's electric trucks, energy solutions, and electrification sales tools. Conduct detailed site assessments to determine the feasibility of electric fleet installations Prepare and present detailed reports and proposals that outline your findings and recommendations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and how our solutions can meet them.
  • Solution Development: Establish and develop energy solutions to support customer applications, e.g. demand charging management, energy storage solutions, micro grids, etc. Stay abreast of industry regulations, incentives, and technology developments to offer informed and current solutions focus on process improvements and projects.
  • Tool Development: Manage the current suite of electrification tools, e.g. ROI calculator, truck spec comparison tool, etc., and develop new tools, e.g. charging curve analysis tool.
  • Team Management: Oversee a team of senior and junior energy experts as they consult on dealer and national accounts forklift sales. Set department performance metrics and mentor the team.


When & Where:

Remote role, Up to 75% travel based on location.

What you need to have:

  • Sale leadership with demonstrated results, specific experience in electrification or batteries preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with dealer staff, customers, and stakeholders at all levels


What would be nice to have:

  • Electrical engineering or other engineering degree preferred
  • Proven team leader and manager of people

The base salary range for this position is $94,129 to $126,665 annually. In addition to the base salary this role is eligible for a bonus plan, which has an additional opportunity for payout. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
