Manager, Professional Education/Hospital Services

DonorConnect is seeking a full-time Manager, Professional Education/ Hospital Services who will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional education plans and programs within the hospitals assigned to their team. This role actively participates in departmental strategic planning and budgeting processes overseeing the daily operations of the team. The candidate will supervise, assign, evaluate and direct the coordinators' hospital development activities by ensuring the success of donation programs within their assigned hospitals. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Training/Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, or related field required, Master's degree preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • RN preferred

Experience Required:

  • Three years of experience in marketing or management in a healthcare setting, with OPO (Organ Procurement Organization) and Hospital Services experience preferred
  • Experience in organizational analysis, management, and program development
  • Background in education or marketing
  • Familiarity with physician-relations preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical education or marketing preferred
  • Understanding of organ and tissue recovery preferred
  • Proficiency in medical terminology preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of the hospital, ICU and nursing environment
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and of database
  • Excellent public relations and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong planning and analytical capabilities
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Solid leadership and diplomatic abilities
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Ability to direct and supervise others
  • Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Able to work well with all levels of personnel in hospital settings and within the differing guidelines of each institution
  • Attentive to details and able to maintain accurate records
  • A valid driver's license must be maintained and possession of their own reliable insured automobile
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stoop, squat, or bend frequently
  • Exposure to patient elements including communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
