Reporting to the Northwest Field Team Program Manager, the Transition Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the execution of Hire Heroes USA's mission in Washington and Oregon (Pacific Northwest). This position serves as a vital bridge between internal programming efforts, and other Northwest Field Team roles with service delivery, ensuring seamless coordination and communication across the organization. The Program Transition Coordinator assists in client engagement, community outreach, and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of services to veterans and military spouses in the region.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who embraces new concepts and ideas, thriving in an environment that encourages out-of-the-box thinking. They must demonstrate adaptability by smoothly transitioning between roles as facilitator, subject matter expert, and direct client advocate to maximize the effectiveness of each event and ensure positive outcomes for veterans and military spouses. This position requires excellent organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served.
This is a full-time, hybrid position. The Transition Coordinator must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Federal Way, Washington area office and be on-site regularly.

Responsibilities 
Employment Transition Support
  • Represent Hire Heroes USA at high-profile community events, job fairs, and industry conferences, articulating the organization's mission, demonstrating its impact, and conveying its unique value proposition to diverse stakeholders across the region
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive database of regional contacts, events, and opportunities, ensuring efficient information sharing and relationship management across the organization
  • Provide comprehensive, hands-on support to clients during on-site activities, delivering real-time coaching, strategic introductions to potential employers, and expert assistance with impromptu resume reviews and interview preparation
  • Coach clients on leveraging a variety of support services, including volunteer requests, research and training, federal resources, and self-paced learning, to holistically support the client journey.
  • Design and lead innovative, tailored workshops on critical topics such as advanced interview techniques, strategic networking, personal branding, and navigating civilian workplace culture to significantly enhance veterans' and military spouses' job market competitiveness
  • Spearhead and actively participate in targeted outreach initiatives, employing data-driven approaches to gain deep insights into the unique challenges and opportunities facing veterans and military spouses in the Pacific Northwest region
  • Implement a sophisticated system for capturing, analyzing, and synthesizing frontline experiences, translating raw data into actionable intelligence to drive continuous improvement and inform long-term strategic planning
  • Develop a robust "lessons learned" framework, documenting key insights, successful strategies, and challenges encountered in client interactions
Internal Collaboration and Relationship Building
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring clear communication channels, aligning strategic goals, and fostering synergies between different program roles
  • Develop knowledge through various certifications, classes, and professional publications to include routine internal training events and opportunities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality
  • Support organization events and fundraisers as needed
  • Approximate travel requirement 30%

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, while productively and collaboratively engaging others at varying levels of seniority within and outside an organization
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or problem approaches.
  • Ability to monitor and assess the performance of self, other individuals, and organizations to make improvements and take corrective action
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects and initiatives
  • Ability to compile and present public briefings to senior leaders
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite applications, specifically Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides, and Excel/Sheets
  • Proficient with Salesforce highly desired

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Travel 30% of the time throughout Washington and Oregon

Hire Heroes USA may offer additional compensation to include annual bonuses, merit increases, cost of living, special or extra assignments outside the scope of the role, cell phone stipend, internet stipend, relocation, awards, compensatory time off, overtime, and gaining knowledge and proficiency through certifications and licensing.

Estimated New Hire Salary: $51,462.50 - $57,963.45 annually. This range represents base pay plus a +15% cost of living adjustment.
