Where You Fit:

We are looking for a motivated and energetic product analyst to assist us in developing the best property tax management products on the market. The product analyst's responsibilities include working closely with different departments, analyzing product data to make product recommendations, interviewing customers to receive customer feedback, and compiling product data. You should be able to study products on the market and review customers' wants and needs to create a better product.

To succeed as a product analyst, you should be able to monitor product performance on the market and determine future needs, including statutory needs. A top-performing product analyst can develop complex functional specifications and write detailed user stories to assist in development activities such as user interface designs, documentation, training, testing, and functional reviews. The product analyst ensures the product backlog is healthy and prioritized according to the company's and our customers' needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing new products focused on property tax management for county and municipal local governments.
  • Develop an understanding of the company's current property tax management products to meet current and future needs.
  • Analyze requests, write, and prioritize stories with detailed development deliverables centered around property tax billing and collections.
  • Serves as liaison between Client Services, Training, and Development to evaluate and troubleshoot reported customer issues.
  • Analyze metrics to improve company products continually.
  • Assist the company in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth.
  • Work with other company departments to improve the analysis and presentation of products.
  • Assists with developing training materials for the end user, if requested. 
  • Perform GAP analysis, highlight associated risks through the project life cycle & provide the best optimal solutions.
  • Support the QA team in developing and executing test cases when needed.
  • Maintain general awareness of Springbrook security and privacy policies
  • Report any security incident or suspected security incident to the Springbrook Incident Response Team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, accounting, or any related field. Relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
  • Previous product analysis experience or subject matter expertise in property tax management software used at the county or municipality level.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, human relations, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  • The ability to balance customer needs against the company's vision.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Preferred Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Two or more years of experience working within a local government office focused on property tax assessment, billing, or collections.
  • Previous in-depth utilization of property tax software is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (particularly agile).
  • Advanced skills in research and analysis, planning, and implementation.
  • Understanding of business issues and how they impact overall plans.
  • Positive "change agent mindsets: leadership, optimism, innovation, continuous improvement of work processes.
  • Customer-focused approach to problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to partner across teams and functions and influence across boundaries
