Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Administrator is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of robotic process automation solutions to streamline business and technical processes while improving operational efficiency. This role requires strong technical expertise in RPA tools and platform, coupled with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.    RPA Solution Design:

o   Work closely with business stakeholders to understand process requirements and identify opportunities for automation. Design RPA solutions based on technical standards and best practice

o   Understand where RPA solutions can be leveraged and when the use case should not use an RPA script

o   Understand when to use attended and unattended BOT opportunities

2.RPA Development:

o   Develop, configure, and deploy RPA scripts, leveraging leading RPA tools such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere

o   Write and maintain efficient and reusable automation scripts and workflows

3.Process Analysis and Optimization:

o   Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement

o   Collaborate with business and IT teams to optimize processes and workflows

o   Understand how to measure processes before and after optimization

4.BOT Management and Monitoring:

o   Manage and monitor bots in production environments to ensure reliability, performance, and security

o   Troubleshoot issues, diagnose errors, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions

5.Security and Compliance:

o   Implement security controls, bot identities, access restrictions, and data encryption where required to protect data

o   Ensure compliance with security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry specific standards

6.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

o   Maintain comprehensive documentation of RPA scripts, configurations, solutions, and workflows

o   Develop and maintain RPA standards for design and management

o   Provide training and support to users and stakeholders to promote the adoption and understanding of technologies

7.Continual Process Improvement in Automation:

o   Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the RPA and automation community, including integration with AI technologies

o   Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance RPA capabilities to add to the overall value proposition of this technical stack

8.Vendor Management:

o   Stay informed about product updates, review new releases, and upgrades

o   Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot issues, escalate support requests, and implement new tools when identified through need

9.Administrative Skills:

o   Help define departmental policies, procedures, guidelines, and knowledge to ensure effective team administration

o   Work in unison with team members and customers to ensure alignment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND Abilities:

This position requires a person with the ability to understand a customer's process, identify steps where RPA could resolve process inefficiencies, and build RPA bot scripts to meet that need. It sis position requires a conscientious professional ready and open to change.  Key personal/professional attributes include:

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

·         Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment

·         Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position

·         Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

·         May regularly travel to different LSC locations

·         May be fully reassigned to other LSC locations if necessary

·         May need to work weekends and outside of core business hours if necessary

REQUIRED Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

·         Bachelor's degree in a computer or technology related field

·         Experience must include at least 3 years of RPA development or administration

·         Experience in workflow automation and process optimization

·         Experience in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java

PREFERRED Qualifications:

·         Master's degree

·        Experience in higher education with understanding of business process improvement opportunities

·        Relevant RPA certifications

·        Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Salary

Hiring salary range is $80,523 - $92,601.

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions.  Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education.  Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.  The information outlined below will provide the Office of Human Resources everything needed to determine an accurate starting salary.
