Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Supply Chain SME at a remote location. This role will support the B-52 Service Life Extension Program (SLEP), focusing on optimizing the supply chain through advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Leverage LMI's capabilities to track MICAP status and manage the B-52 enterprise supply chain
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to design new processes for improving inventory management and supply chain resilience
  • Track key performance indicators and prepare reports for DoD leadership
  • Modernize and integrate historical supply chain data into AI-driven systems for better decision-making
  • Continuously refine supply chain processes and analytics to enhance decision-making and resource allocation
  • Assist with Human-Centered Design assessments to align stakeholder needs and streamline supply chain processes
  • Assist in blueprnting designed supply chain dashboards to prioritize and monitor critical KPIs
  • Assist with development, deployment and implemention of AI-enabled digital technology tool to enhance the B-52 supply chain
  • Test AI-enabled supply chain dashboards in an iterative process, incorporating feedback from government stakeholders
  • Conduct training sessions for government teams on using AI-enabled tools for supply chain optimization
  • Prepare and upskill the government team for independent operation and management of the AI-enabled tool
  • Support the development and maintenance of supply chain policies and procedures, incorporating insights from the AI-enabled tool
  • Assist in correcting audit findings related to inventory management and supply chain operations

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a similar discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in DoD logistics and supply chain management
  • Knowledge of commercially based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling, and inventory optimization systems and techniques
  • Good quantitative and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, and the ability to effectively interact with senior executives from government and industry
  • Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented in completing assigned tasks, and able to adapt to changing work efforts
  • Availability for travel as requested by the client
  • This position requires an active security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Experience with Air Force systems such as EXPRESS, ILSS, ESCAPE SPM, REALM, SAM
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics 
  • Experience developing mathematical models and simulations of business operations
