Physical Requirements

This position requires occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.



Shift

Must be able to work three 12.5-hour shifts per week (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) Will also be required to work some weekends and holidays.



Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry seeks a Social Worker Supervisor/ED/UKHC. who will be responsible for the supervision of an Licensed Clinical Social Workers team providing direct care in addition to providing mental health services to patients and families in the UKY Emergency Department. Position duties include but are not limited to: coordinating day-to-day operations of a LCSW team, perform clinical assessments and interventions for patients presenting to the Emergency Department with behavioral health concerns and perform assessments for admission to behavioral health and engage in discharge planning and referrals for necessary aftercare services or will refer to the most appropriate next level of care.



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess experience with behavioral health assessments and care coordination.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master’s Degree in Social Work/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and 3+ years of behavioral health experience preferred.
