As a TB Coordinator within the TB Department at Richmond County Health Department,you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Starting Salary: $75,000

Job Responsibilities

Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate
staff.
Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.
Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations.
Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.
Identifies high risk populations and tailors' interventions based on the needs of the
population and resources available.
Provides treatments, administers medications/vaccines, and provides preventative maintenance care to patient/families consistent with care plan and/or physician treatment plan.
Screens and refers clients to other community service providers.
Participates in drills and exercises on pandemics, mass sheltering, and mass dispensing; Provides clinical services to target population, including DOT.
Applies principals of population health to practice.
Conducts comprehensive assessments of client's healthcare needs.
Conducts community needs assessment.
Develops comprehensive plan of care individuals, families, and populations.
Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
Provides health education instruction and/or classes to individuals, families, and populations for the promotion and maintenance of health including TST training classes.
Coordinates program services with other service providers and community organizations to promote optimal implementation.
Develops and sustains community partnerships.
Assists other staff with understanding and applying the principles of population health practice, Coordinates activities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND
Two years of PHN experience AND current Georgia Registered Professional
Nurse license AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from
an accredited college or university AND Three years of PHN experience
AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current
Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
ERN trained with at least 2 years of PH experience. Experience
working in TB, HIV and STI clinics desired.
