Gateway Longview’s Educational Services supports Pre-K through 12thgrade students who struggle with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. The goal of the program is to support the needs of individual students as they integrate back to traditional classrooms, or, to support their goal of graduation.

Compensation
$17.00 per hour
Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the effective team management of behavior of students in assigned class, and to the implementation of Individual Education Plans.
- Assure that methods of intervention with students are employed in a therapeutic manner and are responsive to individual student's Individual Education/Treatment Plan.
- Assure that necessary information regarding student is communicated to involved staff in a timely manner.
- Support and enhance teacher's instructional efforts by providing individual and small group tutoring. Assist teacher in preparation of curriculum materials.
- Perform other duties (such as maintaining decorative bulletin boards, organizing and supervising special activities, providing transportation of students as needed, assisting in outreach to parents) as assigned.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of significant incidents.
- Teacher Assistant: All of the above accountabilities, plus:
- Assist teacher in development and implementation of lesson plans
- Assist teacher in effective group and individual instruction
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Pertinent experience and/or training
- Valid New York State driver’s license
