We are looking for an experienced Utility Coordinator to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will perform the critical task of coordinating utilities and assisting with permitting for various infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Performing utility and railroad coordination activities for a variety of state and local public agency projects under the general guidance of senior staff.
- Performing permitting activities for various infrastructure projects with an emphasis on railroad permitting.
- Serving as a liaison between utility companies and other project stakeholders.
- Reviewing project plans, identifying potential conflicts, and developing utility relocation plans, schedules and timelines.
- Reviews cost estimates and prepares budgets for utility relocation.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all utility coordination activities on assigned projects.
- May perform other duties associated with the role.
Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related field; a high school diploma or GED with relevant utility coordination or permitting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Relevant permitting experience. Railroad permitting experience is a plus.
- Relevant experience developing and/or reviewing utility relocation designs. Other closely related experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to obtain necessary Utility Coordination and Railroad certifications in the state.
- Knowledge of engineering software is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, and GIS systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
