Job Summary
Reporting to the Radiologic Technology Program Director, the Radiologic Technology Clinical Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and overall effectiveness of clinical experiences for students in the Radiologic Technology program. The Clinical Coordinator is a professional, credentialed faculty responsible for teaching a full range of college-level classes in the Radiologic Technology Program. The Clinical Coordinator will teach and develop traditional, online, and hybrid courses, as needed; be responsible for ordering equipment; help recruit and advise for the department; and perform all duties associated with community college faculty.
Job Duties
• Assist with required tasks and documentation to maintain accreditation of program.
• Complete all required reports such as attendance and grade submissions.
• Complete annual performance review and maintain related records.
• Teach assigned courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities.
• Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required.
• Develop curriculum, evaluate, and review departmental courses.
• Promote communication with transfer institutions, professional associations, and other external constituents to support student success.
• Evaluate and monitor progress to achieve individual and unit goals and objectives.
• Effective interaction with stakeholders.
Routine Instructional Objectives
• Teach an average of 15 equated hours per semester during day or evening; on/off campus.
• Devote a minimum of 37.5 hours per week to the institution, maintain appropriate office hours as determined by the college officials, and bring the attention of the appropriate dean any commitments which might affect effectiveness.
• Generate a minimum of 300 student credit hours per semester.
• Assist the dean in the development of departmental schedule of classes.
• Recommend adoption of course textbooks in collaboration with other professional staff members in the department.
• Assist with the implementation of departmental exams and standardized tests when such use is deemed feasible and beneficial.

Coordination of Clinical Experiences
• Coordinate and maintain clinical schedules with clinical sites.

• Conduct periodic site visits at clinical agencies and facilities to observe students during clinical shifts

• Evaluate student performance during clinical experiences in an ongoing manner and communicate progress to supervisor.
• Ensure all students are in compliance with clinical site requirements prior to scheduling clinical shifts
• Coordinate and schedule clinical site orientation sessions for students with each clinical agency.

• Function as a liaison between the Radiologic Technology program and clinical sites.
• Monitor student clinical progress and competency based on program objectives.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of High School Programs, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program Specialist’s primary responsibility is to enhance the retention and success of high school students enrolled in technical certificate or A.A.S. pathways by spearheading various early post-secondary opportunities and providing ongoing advising and navigation services. To improve the Consolidated Annual Report (CAR) 3P1 measure and overall Perkins V grant outcomes, they act as an advisor and navigator to improve strategies in retention, transfer, and success in career and technical pathways with special focus on nontraditional students and underrepresented populations such as students of color, economically disadvantaged, single-parent, youth in foster care, etc.
Job Duties
• Deliver ongoing advisement and support for CTE dual enrollment students within targeted special and underrepresented populations to include assistance in developing individual class schedules, answering program of study questions, and providing referrals to appropriate student and academic support services as needed.
• Coordinate Accuplacer testing for dual enrollment CTE students as a prerequisite for enrollment in general education classes required as part of a CTE program of study.
• Collect supporting documentation needed for the Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant and the Sullivan County Career Readiness Scholarship.
• Track data on CTE dual enrollment students, and maintain records related to CTE dual enrollment for Perkins V Grant reporting purposes, including but not limited to schedules, scholarship documentation, and enrollment/registration information.
• Provide proactive navigation and individualized coaching for CTE dual enrollment student population, including assisting students in developing skills to access resources to support academic and career success.
• Coordinate dual credit testing each semester for high school CTE students seeking early post-secondary credits in a CTE pathway.
• Collaborate with High School Program team and related campus offices to coordinate events that foster the enrollment of underserved populations in CTE EPSOs, including but not limited to Dual Credit Day, Dual Enrollment Cording Ceremony, Counselors Workshop, High School Transitions Council Meetings, and NC3 Signing Day.
• Develop and implement strategies to retain Dual Enrollment students and ease their transition into the community college setting and to aid in the completion of students from underrepresented genders in specific A.A.S. certificate and degree programs. (i.e., males in dental assisting, females in computer science).
• Serve on appropriate committees and advisory councils to expand EPSO access and awareness.
• Provide support in analyzing grant performance indicators and developing effective strategies for improving outcomes.&nbsp;

Job Duties:

Prepares labs for assigned Medical Laboratory Technology courses. Provides each student with clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus. Provides interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting. Ensures safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment and supplies. Works with the Program Director to resolve student concerns. Assists in preparation for accreditation inspection. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Certified or certification eligible in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)/Medical Technologist (MT). Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in medical technology or in one of the biological, chemical or physical sciences. Three years full time clinical lab work experience. Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee as a medical technologist. Adequate knowledge and proficiency in content areas taught.

This position will consult with Agency Bureau Leadership, connect with internal stakeholders and liaise with various experts regarding learning needs, instruction and scheduling.
