<dt><h4>Description</h4></dt>The City of Irvine seeks experienced individuals to monitor the use of swimming pools and facilities, perform rescues of persons in distress, assist with daily facility operations,&nbsp;camps, recreation programs and special events, and&nbsp;coordinate and teach swim and water safety lessons. The part-time&nbsp;positions are up to 20 hours with flexible scheduling and the extended part-time position is 30-32 hours weekly. Shifts are scheduled during these core hours: Monday-Sunday, 5:15 a.m.-10:30 p.m.&nbsp;The ideal candidates are at least&nbsp;15 years old for the Part-time Community Services Leader II (Lifeguard), at least16 years old for the Part-time Community Services Leader III (Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor), or at least 18 years old for the Extended Part-time Community Services Leader III (Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor) and have an interest in aquatics or recreation and some experience working with children.
