What you will be responsible for: <ul><li>Utilize design documents including Control Logic Diagrams, Shutdown Keys, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Indices, Setpoint Lists, DCS and PLC Design documents to commission and troubleshoot control systems.</li><li>Develop and/or redline P&amp;IDs, electrical drawings/schematics, control documents, and transfer lists.</li><li>Perform control system factory acceptance tests with Clients and client-designated representatives.</li><li>Work cross-functionally between engineering and service teams</li><li>Setup and troubleshoot Ethernet based networks to allow connectivity for remote monitoring and/or remote support.</li><li>Assist service team in troubleshooting mobile equipment turns.</li><li>Work with others in developing their ability to troubleshoot and service equipment.</li><li>Assist the plant in overcoming technical issues and reporting them.</li><li>Assist the production manager in maintaining plant PLC and automated systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot and install new equipment as required.</li><li>Work with the Production Manager, the Membrane Supervisor, and the COE team on NSC plant projects.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul> Qualifications What will you bring to the table: <ul><li>Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or 5 years' experience designing and commissioning instrumentation and control equipment in power plants, chemical process facilities, petroleum refineries or wastewater treatment plants</li><li>Or associates degree in Electronics or Controls with 3 years' field experience in troubleshooting, commissioning DCS, PLC or SCADA Control Systems.</li><li>Ability to travel in support of domestic and international trips; anticipated travel up to 5%</li><li>Working experience and understanding of fieldbus networks (Controlnet, Devicenet, Foundation Fieldbus)</li><li>2 yrs of water treatment systems and equipment. UF, RO, EDR, EDI, Ion Exchange, pumps, motors, FDA, filtration, and chemical feed systems experience preferred.</li></ul> Desired: <ul><li>Self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player</li><li>Effective problem solving skills</li><li>Demonstrated dedication to safety</li><li>An accomplished communicator, able to produce expert technical papers, publications, and design reports</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to meet all customer site requirements</li><li>Training skills are strongly preferred</li></ul> Please Note: must live in Hampton Roads and report to Norfolk Service Center daily.
